Introduction
The GliderKeeper - GliderKeeper v2 is the successful adaptation of the proven, innovative F5J logger for the F3G class.
Since March 2026, it was tested and approved for use in F3G competitions n combination with the F3G current sensor (313-01) and firmware 3.31.4.
It has an integrated display showing the firmware version, as well as flight data such as motor runtime, "F5J altitude" and start energy.
In addition to the required "basic functions":
Automatic motor shutdown when the maximum motor runtime of 30 seconds or motor power of 350Wmin is reached
Measurement of the so-called "F5J altitude," which refers to the maximum altitude the model reaches from launch until 10 seconds after automatic or manual motor shutdown.
The GliderKeeper v2 has an internal, activatable ("nose-down") WLAN and web interface through which the configuration can be carried out using a browser from mobile phone, tablet or PC. In addition the flight data can be displayed graphically and downloaded through the webinterface.
Additionally, the GliderKeeper Windows program allows for detailed analysis of flight data and export to a tabular format.
Measuring flight time and transmitting it to a central unit — thats why the device has the antenna — is part of the F5J system and is not used in F3G.
